I offer freelance support to organisations or individuals in need of help with online and offline marketing and communications.
Recent projects have included stepping in at short notice as Digital Communications Manager at HOME whilst they were recruiting new staff, editing and creating content for a published Time Out Manchester guide for Spring 2019, rehearsal and production photographer for the play 'Thunder Girls', and making a 14 minute documentary for Manchester Health and Care Commissioning.
As you can see, my experience is varied!
My professional background has been within arts and cultural institutions and publications. I edited Time Out Manchester and Leeds, headed up digital marketing with Manchester International Festival, was a part of the team which opened The Lowryand also worked at Cornerhouse, now HOME. I taught at Manchester Metropolitan University in Film Studies for 3 years, and I sit on the Board of DaDaFest. I also have my own photography / video business, Rob Martin Photography. Most of the images throughout this site are my own, including the shot of the band The xx above, taken as part of their residency at Manchester International Festival in 2013.
I can work both remotely and within your own organisation and I pride myself on working calmly, efficiently and amiably with a range of people to deliver what you need.
